How to upload multiple maps to your Garmin or datacard
I am looking for a gps that I can use for geocaching. The gps needs to have uploadable maps that I can create and use. The price needs to be no more than 0
I’m looking for a handheld to use saltwater fishing in Florida and would be nice if I could expand it to use 4wheeling in the Appalachian mountains without spending the price of the unit for maps?
Are updates available for used car factory GPS systems, or are they pretty much fixed to the factory settings and maps. For example if someone bought a 04’ Acura TL with a factory navigation system, could a DVD be used to update the maps or would a new 0 portable GPS system bought at a store have more updated maps.

I have a Garmin Colorado 400c and I dont want to pay over 0 per map. I would be alright paying under but I would prefer free. I have mapsource (the program that came with my GPS) but the maps I have tried to download wont load into mapsource. Any website or help with what I am doing wrong would be greatly appreciated. I heard from someone that there is a GPS handheld that allows me to create my own maps an add them to my gps. Is this true? If it is true, what company produces it and how can i add them?
I have a garmin nuvi 260 and a 60csx, I have been looking on the garmin website for help with traveling to the baja penisula, but they don’t really provide much detail on the website as to what cities their maps cover. Anyone have any experience with them?

My brother-in-law STATES (no idea how this works….) that his car gps system does not require any downloading of maps.. and that it updates by itself automatically through the use of satellites. That sounded great to me, but from what I’m seeing.. there’s nothing like that on the market. I would like to get my boyfriend a navigation system for Christmas and I’m wondering if this type of system actually exists because I think it would be of much more use to him. Thank you
