Hello!! and Thank You for answering my question. I see there are many choices for putting nice fully functional GPS unit in a car. I was wondering IF I CAN DO the small in a handheld GPS unit that allow me to say find my way to Trump Towers from the Port Authority bus terminal in New York City. Include a web site link in your answer…Thanks!!
Is there a handheld GPS unit out there that is accurate to about 1 ft? The unit I have now only gets me within 10 ft of the waypoint.
I am looking to buy a handheld GPS unit, and it needs to be a model that can be mounted on a bicycle. The bike is a road bike, but I want to make sure the GPS holder is secure and will not let the GPS be damaged. I would prefer a Garmin GPS (particularly the Nuvi) because the screen is larger. Do you have any suggestions where I can find a mount or what would be the best one to use? Thanks!

*The person I am shopping for rides a bicycle and is soon moving to a new city (and therefore will not be familiar with the area). I want something that can not only be used on a bicycle, but also in a car.
I want to buy and handheld GPS unit but I don’t want to spend a TON of money, so what is the unit that is the best quality that is a decent price? The ‘best bang for your buck’ as the saying goes
Hello,
I’ll be traveling to Hamburg, Germany soon and I was hoping to purchase a handheld GPS unit to allow me to roam without having to worry about getting lost.
Obviously I would hope it’d be able to fit in my pocket. But I’d also need the unit to download a city map of Hamburg, be able to mark waypoint and have the ability to backtrack would be nice.
Suggestions from people that have used similar?
I’d like to go hiking/4 wheeling in areas I’m not familiar with. And I’d like to know how much detail a handheld GPS unit actually shows. What brand/model would be recommended.
I am looking for a handheld GPS unit that I can do three things with 1) go exploring in the woods 2) Get into Geocaching 3) take a trip to Europe or other places that I’ve never been and be able to find my way home.
