Every little bit helps!
Everyone knows that the previous Samsung Galaxy S had a GPS problem, i. e was too slow or just messed up on the roads. As you can see on the galaxy s 2 it is fixed.
I just purchased a Garmin eTrex 20 handheld GPS (released in late September 2011) and I decided to do a quick user review of it. This is my first GPS device, which means I can’t do a relative comparison with other units. So, based on its own merits, here are my comments on the eTrex 20: 1. Build quality is solid, and when loaded with batteries it has a nice, reassuring heft to it. Dark grey areas are rubberized for wear resistance. USB connection is hidden under a rubber weather-resistant flap, and the micro-SD slot is protected inside the battery compartment, which are thoughtful design features. 2. The glassy LCD screen is tad reflective when viewed under direct sunlight. 3. Ability to decode both GPS and GLONASS satellite signals is a very useful feature. In the field, it takes less than a minute to get a position fix, and the precision is quite good, around 4 metres at best. 4. It works well inside vehicles too, I’ve tried it in buses and get practically instantaneous position and speed readings. It will definitely work as a car GPS, though that is not its intended function.
DJI Wookong Multi Rotor Testing The DJI Wookong was put through a set of tests, the first was normal flight, we then moved to position hold and changed the altitude, the DJI proved to be extremely stable in flight and held a very solid position in the sky, when the altitude change was done in GPS position hold it didn’t drift, it maintained its position, the Return To Launch was the final test we did, it saw the copter back to home with only a few meters from where it took off! The DJI will rise to 20 meters if below 20 meters or stay at the same height if above for the RTL, when above the take off position it lowers to the ground and kills the engines! This to date has to be the best multi rotor controller I have seen in action!!

Raw footage shot with GoPr,o of a flight test with GPS and magnetometer and first software development of GPS on MultiWii R426. I tried GPS return to home is active when the quad is beeping. Care Free mode was a failure, i lost control for a few seconds, luckly nothing were standing in the way of the quad. Switched back to normal mode and take control. After a few indoor tests, i concluded that magnetometer was perturbed by magnetic fields produced by high current drain in esc’s. So no conclusion about software yet.
I run the quadrant, speed and GPS tests on my Galaxy nexus.

Just a few months ago, some said LightSquared would never be able to solve the GPS interference issue. But with the help of several innovative companies, LightSquared has proven that an engineering solution is possible. For the past three weeks, LightSquared has been testing several devices in one of the most sophisticated testing facilities on the face of the earth. Preliminary tests are proving that LightSquared’s solutions work. In this video, Martin Harriman, EVP for Ecosystem Development and Satellite Business, describes the testing process. You can see a high-precision device made by Javad GNSS completely compatible with LightSquared’s signal. We look forward to conducting similar tests with other device manufacturers that are currently working on compatible devices.
