I have a Garmin 60CSx GPS. I want to be able to make it show me the direction I need to go, if I tell it "how many degrees from true north" I want to go, but I can’t figure it out. I have the manual. Thanks! Rose

What is the function of a GPS?

My father has a Garmin 60CSX GPS that we have been trying to install a Micro SD Topographic map on it, but the map won’t show up. We’ve tried searching for different locations on the GPS, and zooming in and out in different areas. The map is compatible with the GPS, and the card is being read by the device- it’s just that it won’t display both A) the option to turn on the map, and B) the map its self.
Does anybody have a solution to this problem?
Where can I find a great deal online for Garmin GPS 60CSx Handheld GPS Navigator
Before G2 I could get both Bluecharts and City navigator on the same memory card. Is that possible with G2 charts?
Where can I find a coupon code for Garmin GPS 60CSx Handheld GPS Navigator
I just bought my boyfriend a Garmin 60csx from a store online that he wanted and I have a software question. A friend told him he needs Mapsource City Navigator North America version 8. I have looked it up and I see a dvd that says North America 2008. Is that the same thing? I’m not very smart at this and I want to make sure before ordering it since it’s a little expensive.
I have a Garmin 60csx, and I do a lot of camping and scouting. Usually my wife comes up later and can’t find me and there is no cell service where I go. I bought another gps unit for her which is a Garmin 760. The question is can I load topo maps in it and have the forest service roads show up to get her to where I am, I have contacted Garmin and they said I could do it but the topo contours would not be visible. I don’t care about the contour, I am interested in the back roads. Any insight and/or experience would be appreciated.
Alright I will give you some of the details:
I want a good Garmin Handheld GPS device for Geocaching. I will be buying the Handheld GPS new from Amazon because I can save some money.
The GPS device I want is either a GPSMAP 60CSx or a Colorado 300 (or maybe one of the other Colorado ones.) I will be mostly Geocaching in parks, urban areas, and wooded areas. I think I might buy some sort of mapping software to put on the GPS I buy (I don’t know which one, if you have some good advice on a great one that would be greatly appreciated.) Both the GPSMAP 60CSx and The Colorado 300 cost under 0 new on Amazon. I am wiling to spend 0 and maybe more if another GPS device as broought to my attention as being better in some way than the ones I just listed.
The reason I want one of these good GPS’s is if I purchase one and when I receive it it doesn’t do what I wanted to do, or it doesn’t do it well I will be angry.
Please help me decide on which handheld Garmin GPS I should purchase.
I have a garmin nuvi 260 and a 60csx, I have been looking on the garmin website for help with traveling to the baja penisula, but they don’t really provide much detail on the website as to what cities their maps cover. Anyone have any experience with them?
