i got the droid 2 about 9 month ago and now the gps dose not work. i downloaded the gps test app and it showed no signal even tho the gps was enabled. would it still be under the factory warranty, should i take it to verizon?

I would like to go camping and instead of buying a hiking gps I thought i might possibly be able to use my car’s GPS. It is a wireless little Garmin then snaps into a thing on the window. If i took it up into the mountains could i still use it since there wont be roads?

I’m embarking on a trip from North Carolina to Ohio at the end of the month and I’d like to purchase a new car GPS system. I have very limited knowledge of how they work in general, but it is my understanding that the battery life is 3-4 hours. How does one use the GPS on a 9 hour drive? Should I shut down the GPS in situations where I’m perhaps on one highway for several hours?

Also, any GPS recommendations? Thank you!
