This GPS will have to play mp3s. I want to replace my iPod for a gps system that does both because having a single GPS AND and iPod is too messy.

Video playback and SD card slot is a plus. Please tell me what is best/recommended and why for <0 and for >0. Thank you!

In november 2002, several institutes completed GNSS-EGNOS tests at Sion (Switzerland). The idea was to improve the IFR approaches and take offs. The organs who participated in the tests were Skyguide, Eurocontrol, the technical university of Braunschweig (Germany) and some students of the Swiss federal institute of technology of Lausanne.

I want an app that measures the top speed you reach via gps. I tested a few but aren’t very accurate.

www.amazon.com If you’re serious about getting a GPS System, there are a lot of places online you can go, but one of the best places to at least review products is Amazon. They have created a great environment where you can get some feedback from owners of products you’re interested in purchasing. I usually start my search for GPS navigation in their bestsellers category. Here you’ll find what is selling and how many reviews are available. Car GPS systems seem to be the most prevalent when it comes to the types of gps navigation that is reviewed on the site. Either way, you’ll get an opportunity to interact with the community there at Amazon if you so choose. Often, you can even find some exceptional “critical” reviews as well, but see what type of feedback other users give to this. Sometimes people will have a problem with a gps system, for example, and when they give it a negative review, some other member of the community may chime in and help solve a problem or present tentative solutions depending on the issue. You can see what issues do exist, sometimes with the product, other times with the manufacturer or responses. Of course, taking critical reviews of gps systems or car gps may require you to take some of these with a grain of salt so to speak. As the users sometimes use these forums as a place to vent their frustration at a seemingly good product due to some other experience they may have had. www.amazon.com

Took the lightened hexacopter down the park this afternoon for some speed and power tests with the EagleTree logger and GPS onboard. Top speed of 80kph!! Not bad :-)

Just curious how well the GPS systems work on Cell phones, and on the new iPhone as i was very close in getting the iPhone because of the GPS, but ended up buying a Garmin Nuvi instead.

But may get the iPhone down the road, and sell the Garmin – which works awesome and i love it. But if i can get the same via iPhone (plus the other bells and whistles) or Cell phone then i might do that instead.

I want a handheld GPS but I want it to also be capable of uploading nautical charts. I do not need or want a fish finder feature which is pretty common when looking at martime GPS units. Also, maritime GPS units tend to be the mountable type, I want a handheld similar to what you would hike with. So, handheld, able to use nautical charts.

Sherpa PADS enable safe, accurate and cost-effective delivery of cargo from a variety of fixed / rotary-wing aircraft. Sherpa systems achieve high accuracy without dangerous low-level flight, enabling cargo delivery in mountainous terrain, zero visibility, or outside the reach of MANPADS. PAD is also an IED-proof cargo delivery method. www.army-technology.com
